On the minecraft topic there is a link saying
Client: Download here.
1.You click that and it will start downloading the .jar file.
2.Next click the start button and click run.
3.Type in %appdata% then you click on the .minecraft file.
4.After that, open the bin file. Next, you will delete the .jar titled “minecraft”
5. you’ll replace it with the file you just downloaded. If it is not already named minecraft.jar you’ll need to change it to that. Have fun!

You could play around with Minecraftforfree.com I’m not sure about modding it but it the beta version. Not too sure about legal terms either

Have you ever looked closely at a tnt explosion? Have you ever imagined what it might look like if you slowed it down? how the blocks would seperate and fly into each direction? SkyBlock looks just like it! its as if someone simply blew up a floating island, froze time, and posted it as a map.

SkyGrid is just above the void, so the distance is streaked with white, and it really does look like a grid. it adds some intense and trippy effects if you fall. making failing this map, twice as enjoyable.

This map is a challenging survival map for Minecraft in the style of SkyBlock. It’s formed out of a grid of random environmental blocks, with a grid-length of 4 meters. There are no rules, make whatever goals you want. Try and find the random chests and spawner’s placed throughout the map!
